Privacy Policy

Unwind is developed by Invad. This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is short because the app does very little.

What Unwind itself collects

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, and no server of ours. We could not look at your game data if we wanted to, because there is nowhere for it to go.

The one exception is advertising, which is described below. That data goes to Google, not to us.

What is stored on your device

Unwind saves your progress locally on your own device, and nowhere else:

• The level you have reached and your star balance
• Your best rating and score for each level
• Which snake coats you own and which one is equipped
• Your daily streak
• Your sound, music, vibration and high-contrast settings

This data never leaves your phone. It is not backed up to us, because we have no servers. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it permanently.

Advertising

Unwind shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. There are two kinds:

• Ads you choose to watch, in exchange for an egg or a refill of hearts. Nothing is taken from you if you decline one.
• Ads between levels, from level 8 onwards. The first several levels, including all of the tutorials, never show one.

To make that work, Google's advertising software is part of the app, and Google collects information in order to select, deliver and measure ads. That typically includes:

• your device's advertising identifier
• your IP address, and the approximate location it implies
• your device model, operating system and language
• whether you saw, closed or interacted with an ad

We do not receive this information. Google's own policies describe what it collects and what it does with it:

Your choices

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Unwind asks your permission before any personalised advertising happens, using Google's own consent form. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Ad privacy inside the app. Declining does not disable the game or lock anything away; it means the ads you see are not personalised.

Wherever you are, your device has its own control:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

Children

Unwind is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The game contains no chat, no user-generated content and no way to contact another player. Ads shown in the app can lead out of it, which is the only route out of Unwind other than the links in this policy.

Permissions

Unwind requests no special permissions - no camera, no location, no contacts, no storage beyond its own private folder. It uses internet access, and uses it for one thing only: fetching ads.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address before the app version it applies to is released.
